Good morning, Naperville! What a week, the first snow is behind us and 60+ degree days are in the forecast, sounds about right for Chicagoland. We’ve found ourselves staring out of the window on more than one occasion the last few days admiring the last of that fall beauty, mother nature sure knows how to put on a show. 🖥️ So far, it doesn’t sound like Naperville residents are too excited about a proposed data center along the I-88 corridor. More than 40 residents took to the microphone at the third Planning and Zoning Commission hearing on the subject. Topics ranged from property value impacts to health and noise concerns. Hearings will continue on November 19th, if you’d like your voice to be heard.

⚽️ Naperville North Boys captured their fifth IHSA 3A boys’ soccer state title after a dramatic showdown with St. Laurence. The Huskies struck first with a goal from Kalan Gaccione before the Vikings rallied to take a 2-1 lead. With less than two minutes left, Andrew Hebron tied the game to force overtime, and after two scoreless extra periods, the match came down to penalty kicks. Senior goalkeeper Jack Bouska made a crucial save, setting up defenseman Eddie Zoeller, who buried a goal to clinch the 3-2 shootout victory. The Huskies end their remarkable season undefeated at 25-0-4!

🦃 Here’s you thanksgiving without the mess. Sometimes, you want a little bit of help to supplement all of the craziness on Thanksgiving. Gourmet Giggles: Cooking Class for Teens @ Alive Center (11/14) at 4pm

Calling all young chefs! The Alive Center is hosting a fun and hands-on cooking class for ages 11 to 18 on the second and fourth Friday of each month. Each session features a guest chef or baker, lessons in basic cooking skills, creative recipes, and activities. Kids enjoy light snacks and get to take home their food creations. There are only eight spots available each time, so early registration is encouraged. All tools, ingredients, and aprons are provided.

Little Builder Workshop @ Lowe’s (11/15) at 10am

Get your little elves building! Kids can create a personalized hanging letterbox to hold family cards and countdown to the holidays with a cheerful calendar decal. This hands-on project is full of holiday fun, sparks creativity, teaches basic building skills, and leaves them with a keepsake to treasure all season long.

Train Takeover @ DuPage County Historical Museum (11/15) at 12:30pm

Celebrate National Model Railroad Month at the Museum with the DuPage Society of Model Engineers. Explore the 60-year-old model railroad, enjoy a train-themed scavenger hunt, and stop by the auditorium for fun train crafts.

Thanksgiving Baby Brunch @ Goldfish Swim School (11/19) at 10am

Spend a delightful morning at Goldfish Swim School in Naperville. Bring your little ones for a fun brunch where you can splash, play, and enjoy time together. Families can explore the pool during open play, join a free mini swim class demo at 10:15 AM, and enjoy brunch while mingling with other parents. Meet King of Hearts 🐾 the pup sure to rule yours! When he first arrived at the shelter, King was a bit shy, but it didn’t take long for him to realize how loved he is. Now he’s a total social butterfly who adores walks, playtime, and cuddles with staff and volunteers.

This loyal, affectionate boy is ready to share his love with a forever family. He just asks to be the only pet in his royal castle!
