📰 The Digest
🐺 Small animals beware. The Coyotes are out and they look well fed. Coyotes are entering breeding season, which often leads to increased sightings around Naperville and a rise in related calls to local authorities. With Illinois home to a large coyote population, the Naperville Police Department encourages residents to focus on safe coexistence by understanding coyote behavior and using effective hazing techniques. These include making noise, standing your ground, and maintaining eye contact to deter encounters and keep both people and wildlife safe.
🧐 We featured this one a few weeks back, but we’re still excited so here ya go again! Mr. Monopoly is making his way to Naperville! Hasbro and Top Trumps USA are creating MONOPOLY: Naperville Edition, set to launch next fall, and they’re inviting local businesses, nonprofits, and community favorites to be part of the board. Nominations are open now through March 6, 2026, giving you an opportunity to help showcase the places that make Naperville such a special community.
🏈 Friday night lights may be coming a little closer to home in Lisle. The Lisle Village Board is considering a proposed two-phase revamp of Benet Academy’s athletic facilities, residents recently shared their opinions during a public hearing. Supporters say the privately funded improvements would modernize outdated facilities and benefit students. Some residents raised concerns about lighting, noise, and traffic. Either way, no doubt it’ll be quieter than the fireworks after the Bears W!
